Vulfpeck is a a half Jewish German-American rhythm section based in Los Angeles. The band members first met in a German literature class at the University of Michigan. Originally studio musicians at Vulf Records, Jack Stratton, Theo Katzman, Woody Goss and Joe Dart have released five albums under Vulfpeck. The band was conceived as a German version of the Funk Brothers – session musicians who performed most of the instrumentals on the 1960s Motown records - and last year they made the news when they made $20,000 from releasing a silent album on Spotify. Christmas In L.A. is their new single and it features smooth session guitarist legend David T Walker.
